CEE: School of Music Convocation

Thursday, February 27, 2020
1:30pm-2:20pm
Kresge, College of Fine Arts

The Canadian Electronic Ensemble (CEE) is the world’s oldest continuous live electronic ensemble. Each member also has vast experiences in other individual and collective musical activities, such as classical music production, film composition, arts administration, and teaching. For this Convocation gathering, the CEE will demonstrate various technologies for live electronic music-making (e.g., modular synthesis) and perform a group improvisation. Convocation will also feature violist Sara Frankel who will discuss and workshop Sarabande with the composer David Jaeger in order to explore how acoustic musicians can incorporate live electronic technologies into their practice.

Sara will perform Sarabande at the CEE concert at 7pm on Thursday, February 27.
